If you believe in supporting your community, or if you want to help foster pride in culture and knowledge of history, or if you simply want to meet people, then you should volunteer with CAPA and the Asian Pacific American Heritage Fesitval.

We are currently taking sign-ups for several festival areas. We ask that you put in a minimum of 2 hours, but feel free to sign-up for more time slots.

General Set-Up (Slots: 8am-10am, 10am-12pm)
We need people to help set-up the tables, the stage area, martial arts and the theme exhibit.

CAPA Information Booth (Slots: 12pm-2pm, 2pm-4pm, 4pm-6pm)
Help selling T-shirts, giving directions on the festival map, taking survey forms and being an occasional runner.

Performance Stage Help (Slots: 12pm-2pm, 2pm-4pm, 4pm-6pm)
Basically assist the performers with anything they need or help with the CD sales table.

Performance Stage Security (Slots: 12pm-2pm, 2pm-4pm, 4pm-6pm)
We need a few assertive people to make sure nobody runs up on stage or gets into the dressing rooms or other restricted areas.

Martial Arts Area (Slots: 12pm-2pm, 2pm-4pm)
Basic crowd control and help with bringing the mats on and off the demonstrations area.

Break-Down (Slots: 6pm-7pm)
General Clean-up with Brooms and Trash bags as well as loading supplies in the van.

To sign-up for any of these slots please e-mail Bibs Teh at bteh@capaonline.org and we will do our best to place you in your desired time-slot. In the event that the slot you you requested is filled, please volunteer for another one. When e-mailing her, kindly include a phone number where you can be reached.
