**Tips on How to Improve your booth + Day of Instructions **

Benefits include

  • Making Sales: Sell your products or services to our guests
  • Establishing your brand: Meet and greet with your target audience, prospective customers and volunteers, or relevant community members.
  • Media Coverage: Potential for even wider coverage! The festival has been covered in the past by major press outlets such as NY1, Fox News, CBS News, NY Times, Time Out New York, Daily News, and a comprehensive list of ethnic media and newspapers.

Food / Retail / Business Vendors Opportunities

Are you looking for an exciting place to market and sample your store/company’s products and services? No other Festival allows you to reach an audience of 8,000 guests (with a focus in the Asian community) quite like the Heritage Festival.

Whether you market products, food samples, or related products, the Asian/Pacific American Heritage Festival serves as the ideal venue for your store/company/restaurant.

Things to Keep in Mind for Food Vendors

  • Simple, portable foods will be a hit! For example: Rice balls, sushi, ready-to-eat fruits
  • Keep prices low. More than $10 per item is probably too much
  • When deciding what to sell, keep in mind the cost of making the food (e.g., ingredients, utensils). You don’t want to lose money on each sale!
  • Make sure to bring small bills as change – also keep this in mind when deciding on price
  • You may use sterno heaters to keep food warm, but open flame grills are not allowed
  • You do not need to apply for a food permit, but please email booths@capaonline.org if you decide to sell food

Sell Products/Crafts - Selling unique products/crafts is a great way to generate some income!

  • Unique items with cultural significance will do better than generic ones
  • Look for low price items that work well as impulse buys
  • Having a variety of products will keep people’s attention and will more likely lead to a sale
  • Make sure to bring small bills as change
